New Generation Twirlers

New Generation Twirlers is a well-established baton twirling club, proudly celebrating over 13 years of learning, development, and community. Throughout our journey, we have built more than just a team — we have created a supportive and inclusive environment that many of our members describe as a second family. This is reflected in the number of athletes who have remained with us since we opened.

 

Our club is led by (our boss lady) Ciya, who brings over 27 years of experience in baton twirling, having begun her own journey in the sport at the age of seven. Her passion, knowledge, and dedication are at the heart of everything we do. She is supported by our junior coaches, Bel (baby boss) and Kara (mini boss), who play an important role in mentoring and developing our younger athletes in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

 

We offer training opportunities for athletes for all ages & ability right now we have ages 1 up to 21 years, training with us. We also cater to a wide range of abilities and ambitions. Whether members wish to participate recreationally — enjoying the social, physical, and creative aspects of the sport — or pursue competitive pathways, New Generation Twirlers provides a welcoming and structured environment for all.

 

Our competitive athletes have achieved consistent success at competitions with several members progressing to represent Scotland at international competitions. A standout achievement includes our performance at the TwirlSport Scotland Scottish Championships (Inverness, 2025), where the club proudly secured 15 Scottish Championship titles across multiple events and age categories & brought home TwirlSport Scotland Majorette Of The Year 2025 for basic strut. 

 

In addition to competitions, we place great importance on community and celebration. Our annual showcase at the Adam Smith Theatre is a highlight of the year, bringing together athletes, families, and supporters to celebrate progress, performance, and achievement. The evening also includes our annual awards presentation, recognising the dedication and accomplishments of our members.

 

At New Generation Twirlers, we are committed to nurturing confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the sport. We welcome new members at all levels with our first class being free  and invite anyone interested to become part of our growing community.
